Museum of the American Revolution

Perspectives on Early American History

The Museum tells the story of the Revolutionary War from the viewpoints of women, enslaved people, English soldiers, loyalists, colonists, and children from the time period, highlighting the struggles for freedom that led to the creation of our country.

Comprehensive and layered exhibit design combines film, media interactives, and hands-on activities with bold interpretive graphics, scenic tableaus, cast figures, and rare collections to fully contextualize the revolutionary period.

“
The Museum of the American Revolution was one of the best history museums I've visited. Exhibits were informative and comprehensive touching on many aspects of the Revolution that many museums overlook. The interactive displays helped bring history to life. Without a doubt, Washington's tent was the highlight of the day.
