Lodgepole Visitor Center

Capturing Dynamic Landscapes

After traveling up to 6,700 feet, interior and exterior exhibits at Lodgepole’s Mission 66 Visitor Center Interior will focus on experiential learning, immersive environments, and trip-planning. We designed a walkthrough of four diverse ecosystems: the foothills, Montane, subalpine, and alpine environments, incorporating themes of conservation and outdoor recreation throughout the guest experience.

Scenic recreations, soundscapes, and tactile elements allow guests to use all of their senses to engage with content. Guests will even get the chance to snap a selfie against the backdrop of the highest peak in the contiguous United States, Mt. Whitney!
